Facebook Messenger – This is our go to communications app for foreign travel. 47612038Even if you have no data or are roaming, this app pulls through with a simple wifi connection. We do most of our chatting via FB Messenger.

 

Find My iPhone – This is a no brainer. Along with keeping your phone locked and passcode protected, this app will help local authorities track your phone if it gets stolen, assuming you’re not in airplane mode. You DID disconnect your carrier data while leaving your wifi enabled, right?
