Outreach in Nicaragua

9090761633_718ab07be3_oThe key to ending poverty is education. Enrich Missions exists to educate impoverished children in Matagalpa, Nicaragua and the surrounding areas. The areas are mostly poor coffee farmers who struggle with daily necessities like toothpaste and food. Our missions is to increase and enrich their scholastic quality of life. This outreach in Nicaragua happens 4 ways.

Tutoring.

Many impoverished children struggle with basic math concepts and reading. By providing tutoring we’re giving them an opportunity for better grades, a better experience, and a love of learning.

Imagine not attending class simply because you didn’t have a pencil. Lack of materials is a reason many children skip classes or simply give up on school. Our vision is to be able to provide materials like notebooks, pencils, books and backpacks.

Feeding students.

We learned a long time ago that children can’t learn when they’re hungry. We can bring a meal that includes all the vitamins and minerals needed to promote healthy growth and sustainability. This increases immune systems, keeping people healthier, working, and in school.

The local church is the backbone of spiritual growth and community in Nicaragua. We’ve found church leaders to be dedicated to the people, willing to work to fulfill the great commission. Our mission is to come along side them and assist in building construction, equipping them for outreach, and building spaces that are used to minister to the local community.
